Explore Bondage Bed Restraints and Ties
Bondage bed restraints can transform a familiar bedroom into a versatile space for consensual restraint, positioning and power exchange. They allow partners to control how much movement is available while creating anticipation and a heightened sense of submission.
The SEI MIO collection offers two different approaches to bed bondage. The Bed-Spreader provides an adjustable under-mattress system with padded wrist and ankle cuffs, while Nights in Tied Satin includes two soft sash restraints for gentler and more flexible play.
Choose Your SEI MIO Bed Restraints
Choosing between the two SEI MIO products depends on the level of structure and versatility you want. The Bed-Spreader creates four-point positioning across the bed, while Nights in Tied Satin can be arranged around individual wrists or ankles.
Both options are suitable for consensual restraint, but they feel and function differently. Discuss the intended position, preferred movement and release method before beginning.
The Bed-Spreader Under-Mattress Restraint System
The Bed-Spreader uses adjustable straps positioned beneath the mattress, with a central ring helping to keep the system aligned. Its straps extend to accommodate beds from single to super king size without requiring permanent fixtures or bedposts.
The system includes soft, adjustable wrist and ankle cuffs. Once the harness is beneath the mattress, the cuffs clip onto the exposed straps and each strap can be adjusted to create the desired position.
Keep enough movement in the straps to prevent strain on the shoulders, hips, knees and wrists. Begin with a relaxed position before making any gradual adjustments.
Nights in Tied Satin Restraints
Nights in Tied Satin includes two soft satin ties with integral loops for quicker restraint. They can be used around the wrists or ankles, or one sash can be used as a soft blindfold.
These restraints provide a less structured alternative to the Bed-Spreader. Their smooth appearance and versatile design make them particularly suited to gentle tie-and-tease play.
Use a simple, easily released fastening and avoid narrow or complicated knots. Satin can tighten or shift during movement, so check the fit and circulation regularly.
Setting Up the SEI MIO Bed-Spreader
Unfurl the Bed-Spreader straps and remove the cuffs before sliding the system beneath the mattress. Position the central ring close to the middle, then pull each strap out towards a corner of the bed.
Clip the padded cuffs onto the straps and adjust the harness so it remains stable beneath the mattress. Test every buckle, clip and cuff before placing them on your partner.
Begin by restraining one or two limbs rather than immediately tightening all four points. This gives both partners time to check the position, comfort and available movement.
How to Use Bed Restraints Safely
Consent, boundaries and safety signals must be agreed before applying any restraint. Use a spoken safe word and establish a non-verbal signal in case the restrained partner cannot communicate clearly.
Cuffs and ties should feel secure without restricting circulation. Check regularly for pain, numbness, tingling, swelling, cold skin or unusual discolouration, and release the restraint immediately if any of these occur.
Avoid pulling the limbs beyond their natural range of movement or placing sustained pressure on joints. Keep all fastenings accessible, have safety scissors available when using ties, and never leave a restrained person unattended.
Do not attach restraints to an unstable bed frame, damaged furniture or anything that could move or break. The Bed-Spreader is designed to sit beneath the mattress and should be installed according to its supplied instructions.
Cleaning SEI MIO Bed Restraints
Follow the care instructions supplied with each product. Wipe compatible Bed-Spreader straps, cuffs and hardware after use, taking care not to saturate padded sections.
Clean the Nights in Tied Satin sashes using a method suitable for their material. Allow every component to dry completely before storage, then check the stitching, loops, straps, clips and fastenings for damage.
